These holidays we’ll get our spirit ready for Autumn’s chilled wind and fallen leaves with an exciting new line-up of drama workshops! Bookings are now open! Each workshop is a self-contained day with a central theme, finishing with a showcase by the kids at 3pm for their parents and caregivers. The students gain confidence, enhancing their communication and teamwork skills through fun games and exercises taught by the experienced Brickworks drama tutors.

When: Mon 19th – 23rd April
Time: 9am – 3.30pm each day
Where: The Chapel (cnr Waipani and Beach Rds), Te Atatu Peninsula, Auckland.
What: We run a self-contained workshop each day. There are two groups ( 6 – 9 year olds, and 10 – 14 year olds). . Each day also includes a craft activity and an end-of-day showing at 3:00 pm for friends and family.
Cost: $50 per day (single day bookings available).

Workshop Descriptions
Mon 19 April – For a Limited Time Only! (Screen Acting)
We’ll create TV commercials for products that don’t exist and act them out on camera. Who knows what we don’t know we need yet? Book your spot – for a limited time only!
Tue 20 April – Skits, Sketches, and Gags (Comedy)
Today we celebrate how funny kids are by creating our own original skits, sketches, and gags. Taking inspiration from the classic to the brand new comedy stars, we will explore life’s quirks and silliness.
Wed 21 April – Chaplin, Keaton, and Friends (Physical Theatre)
We explore the magic of Hollywood’s early silent movies, creating our own “silent movie” scenes with mime, costume, and music. We’ll perform these on stage at the end of the day.
Thurs 22 April Animate Your Imagination! (Script Work)
Have you ever wanted to reenact moments from your fave animated movie? Today is your chance! We’ll take scenes from films we all know and love and act them out with our very own twist.
Fri 23 April – Casa Grande (Soap opera – Devising)
A glamorous villain; a big surprise; crazy plots; mysterious twins; and a family secret. Join us for a day of big dresses and larger than life performances. We’ll create our own soap opera, Brickworks Drama style!
